Keli the owner of Monarch Weddings and I were working a Crown Wedding at Lows Hotel last year, we started talking about the Chuppah I had done and she mentioned that her brother was getting married at a public park in Carlsbad. Because it is a beach city I thought we would be working on a bamboo canopy. After I met her brother and beautiful Sarah I realized they would be married under 2 trees. Keli in her cute way said in our meeting "it might be kind of fun to create a arch between the trees but I don't know how we would" And then it hit me!!!! The arch that we created the best part of the flowers for her wedding the crowning achievement it was fantastic!! This couple has become such a huge part of my life and so has Keli a lasting friendship for sure has been built and I am so blessed to have been introduced to all of them!! This wedding by far was one of my most favorite wedding's in 2011 the fact the Keli could take a park wedding and turn it into such a regal affair is a testament to what a fantastic coordinator she is, please check out her website if you get the chance!!

Rachel called me in 2010 asking me about her wedding in 2011 as soon as I heard the location I was over the moon with excitement!! The Grand Del Mar has just been voted as the top hotel in the United States so as you would assume I was ecstatic!!! As soon as we started talking about her day I just had visions of solid white huge arrangements and aisle decor that would make everyone swoon. Rachel, Dustin and I met on several occasions to iron out every little detail and I know in the end they were fantastically surprised at the vision that the Splendid Team created!! Sarah and John were married at San Diego Botanical Gardens. Sarah wanted a fresh picked look and for each of the girls we did a mix of spices... Rosemary, mint, thyme, and lavender so that they could dry it and use it in their own recipes. I thought this was such a clever idea!! Bethany is such an amazing florist, she helped us design the perfect wedding. We came to her blindly after finding her on yelp and gave her a blank canvas, let her know we wanted an outdoorsy handpicked, handmade aesthetic and she created a wedding fit for any top bridal magazine. We had found a ton of vintage bottles and gave them to her a week before the wedding and she came the day of the wedding with every single one of them with different beautiful wildflowers. It was amazing how she could make our vision come to life with just a few suggestions. She really takes her time getting to know the couple and their style. The day we met she had the store closed and she focused solely on us, it felt like we were VIP the entire time we were in contact, she responds quickly to emails and phone calls and last second changes. The day of she was so busy setting everything up but I realized our cake was too plain, she stopped everything she was doing and decorated our cake with beautiful fresh flowers! She goes over and beyond just being a florist. Very highly recommended!!!!

Whitney and Dustin are two of the cutest people in the world!! When I met beautiful Whit she had just seen pictures of a wedding that I did of a friend of hers Kristen and she had highly recommended us.... Flattered I knew I would love to do this wedding. Whitney is such a cute and sweet person and Dustin a comedian is quiet and always new how to make us both laugh... A million laughs and a few visits and tickets for K 1 Race Track for my sons birthday latter we were at their big day.

Tina Whitney's mom was there to lend her help and to tell me there is nothing that will not be perfect lets just roll with it and make it the best day we can for Whitney and Dustin. As I brought Whitney her bouquet I know she had the talk with her mom also, she was so laid back and so incredibly happy with her flowers.... Made me smile, and when I saw Dustin his smile lit up his face and he gave me a big hug I knew that this is why I do what I do :)

Kelly and Jeff's Wedding took place at Point Loma's Ocean View Room, this wedding was full of personal details that only the Mother of the Groom Krista and Kelly could come up with. Lemons were the main thing with the ocean colors and a touch of bling. I had so much fun planning with Krista and Kelly that when I met Jeff on his wedding day I knew we had done a job well done. Perfect pink pomander balls adorned with dripping crystals lined the aisle at the base a solid row of hot pink petals to finish the look (LOVE)

When I met with Gloria she had envisioned a grand look but was on a budget as so many brides are.... I came up with this look to achieve the look that she wanted.

The overall look was simply stunning. Crystals dripping with soft orchids hanging to back the perfect ceremony area with the beautiful Carlsbad ocean in the back ground. (LOVE)

Starting 2011 with a new saying "Get It Blogged" So here we go :) Revisiting July 2010 and starting with Amber and Travis. I have know Amber since she was 15, I had the pleasure of working with her mother at a previous job. And also working with Amber when she was 16. I was there when she first started dating Travis and when she got pregnant with her first beautiful baby Callie. Her other daughter is named Lily so of course we had to have Calla Lilies in her Bridal bouquet. When I found out that they were planning a wedding I of course said please let me do your flowers. I loved being part of the wedding not only was I there to do their flowers but also I got to go for the ride for the photography part... Literally a ride. I introduced them to their photographer http://jstarrphotos.wordpress.com John and his wife are very good friends of mine. Thank you John for letting me have some of the images of their day!! I had a very hard time this last year blogging so my New Years resolution is to BLOG!!! I had intended on finishing up 25 blogs before December 31st but that just did not happen.... Vanessa is one of the most adorable Brides!! When I met with her and her adorable coordinator they said they wanted to book me for July 24th, I had already booked two weddings that day so I told her we would not be able to stay.... She said she did not care she wanted me to do her wedding.... So hence the reason why I only have 1 picture :) But as soon as they come in I will be posting them!! And there wedding was beautiful!! It was the first stop of the day!!

After that I made my way to the Grand Tradition for April and Chris's wedding..... Which will be the next blog post I have the professional shots from their day!!

So on to the teasers from Amber and Travis's day...... Sonja and John shot there wedding so I am still waiting for the shots to come in but these were provided by a family friend.
I used to work with Amber's mom at Canterbury Gardens so when I saw Lisette at a get together I said you have to let me do Amber's wedding!! I have known her since she was about 16 and I have watched her grow into a beautiful woman.... These are just a few shots :)

We met this couple almost a year and a 1/2 ago and I knew I could not wait to be part of their wedding!! I loved doing this wedding!! Desiree and her mom had such vision of what Desiree's dream wedding would be..... Pink was the number one request, along with trees, moss, and a natural feel. They took a bit of this and a bit of that and it truly turned out to be so beautiful!! I love it when the bride brings in pictures of what she loved the most for me to incorporate!! Desiree wanted a very natural feel but also a bit girly. We are still waiting for the professional shots but these are some of their special day that we caught!!

I Absolutely love the bouquets!! They turned out so pretty!! Made up with pink lisianthus, light pink coxcomb, pink spray rose, and seeded eucalyptus. Desiree's bridal bouquet was made up of garden roses, pink lisianthus, pink coxcomb and seeded eucalyptus also.

LOVE The little ones!! And these two were particularly cute!!

One of our adorable ring bearer pillows a birds nest on a bed of mushrooms.... We were lucky enough to catch one of the butterfly's from the ceremony release to make this picture just perfect!!

I know we have done this look on the isle before but it never seems to fail I love it every time!!

I love it when our brides go bright and happy!! Lisa and Jason are competitive cross country bikers so it was obvious to pull in the bike theme!! They also did our first butterfly release! It was so cool when they flitted about all over them :)We had the pleasure of working with Opal from Allies Party Rental and Stephanie from the Old Richland School House thanks guys for all the help and chit chat!! Love you both!!

This wedding is when a brides beautiful vision all comes together without a hitch!! Anna came in with her mother with about 5 containers and said "I want a vintage eclectic feel with a ton of different containers that my mother and I will be collecting until the wedding, I would like it romantic and rustic.... My mother and I will be making the napkins, napkin rings and table toppers I love mason jars and antique containers...." I said God I hope you book with me!! After our consultation I was at a wedding setting up when I got the call that they wanted me to do their wedding (I shrieked!!)
The wedding was beyond belief fun!! So many details and working with one of my all time favorite vendors NR3.... Well lets just say I can not wait for the video and professional pictures!!

Ahhh Danny and Kim.... What a beautiful wedding at one of my favorite venues!! Nothing can beat the historic Balboa Park Prado, not only is it one of the best venues in San Diego it is one of my favorite!! Danny and Kim came to meet me through Alicia Garcia at Belinni Events http://www.bellini-events.com and I fell in love with them immediately!! One of the most beautiful couples and one of the most romantic stories!! Kim is a cancer survivor and Danny stayed by her side through the whole ordeal!! The ceremony was so moving literally not a dry eye in the crowd!!
The wedding turned out to be one of my favorite weddings that I have done!! The only flower used were red roses, not a stem of greenery or other flowers and what we did.... Well it was magic!!

Ah how I loved this little Bride.... Mollie came to see me a few months back sent from one of my floral friends at Florabella Florist in San Diego. I immediately fell in love with not only her but her vision.
She wanted a soft romantic feel with 2 of my favorite colors pink and yellow. And believe it or not this was our first visit to the venue that is literally 4 minutes away from our shop. We used a combination of light yellow and pink roses along with white hydrangea,yellow stock, yellow and pink ranunculus, hot pink gladds, light pink dendrobium orchids, and Mollie's bouquet my favorite... Light pink peonies, cream garden roses, white ranunculus and fun filler. It was so pretty!!

Well I Owe this wedding to my dear friend Heather from Shadowcatcher Imagery, Last year Heather had a studio open house and she invited all of her favorite vendors to showcase there best. Along with me was the Incredible Judy from http://www.classiccandybuffet.com/
I instantly LOVED HER!! We sat and talked for quite a while and struck up a friendship. Then in August we all had the pleasure of working on Morgan and Sean's wedding..... While setting up Judy said "Bethany would you ever consider doing a wedding in Fullerton?" I said " Of course..... Judy said "well I will talk to my daughter Ali and we will see...... "

2 months latter while doing a wedding in Fullerton I met with both Judy and Ali and well like her mom I new we made an instant connection. As we walked through her venue our heads were reeling with beautiful ideas. Sonja and I came up with a briliant idea for the Canopy that was already there and the long beautiful isle. Ali and Judy added their own spin on things with many magazine clippings and the fact the both Ali and Erik are teachers. So keeping the story theme was mandatory. I said well why don't we go for an Alice in Wonderland look. And so there it was a way for Ali to have her whimsical and fun look with a bit of knowledge!! Ok so finally the pictures.... Hold on and enjoy this fun ride!!

For The Canopy we used over 30 Smilex garlands to completely outline the rod iron and interspersed beautiful clusters of green hydrangea and pink Gerber daisies. It truly had a Disneyland affect.... And the isle OH the isle 6 shepherd hooks covered in smilex with matching pomander balls, and the surprise for all the adorable Gerber's popping out of the ground. SO STINKEN CUTE!!!

The pomander balls were made from pink gerbera daisies, pink roses, green hydrangea and kermit mums....

Ali's bouquet was stunning!! Ali had wanted something different but not to over the top... Her favorite flowers were Gerber daisies, so we added green cymbidiums, lime green hydrangea, beautiful garden roses and button flowers made from new and vintage buttons. Sonja topped it off by giving it a stunning handle adorned with a silver locket with Ali's beloved grandmother's portrait.

Ali looked completely stunning, amazingly beautiful and well she is just as beautiful inside!!
The boys big and small looked perfect with their floral accessories!! :)

We wanted to do something a bit different for the ring bearer pillow so 2 days before the wedding my dear Cindy said how about a book... all of us beamed and said lets do it!! Thanks Sonja for this adorable design...

The Ceremony was stunning and just as magical as we all had pictured!!

On to the Reception.... The AMAIZING RECEPTION!! At the table to greet the guests was a love story written by these 2 Sonja and I had the idea to get a vintage typewriter and fill it with flowers around a typed story.... Judy and Ali found it and we made it happen!! Sooo Cute

At the entrance sat Dominic an incredible Artist that makes you laugh and find the silly in you!! Of course Sonja, Martha and I had to get in on the action :) Thank you Dominic for giving us a wonderful memory!!

And the Candy Bar WOW That is all I can say!! Bravo Judy!!

Having a mom that is the Candy Lady of Orange County does help!! I loved all the book details!!
The center pieces were inspired by Ali and elaborated by me!! And yes they all had vintage buttons also!

The low Centerpieces were so cute!! Stacked on a pile of books the garden rose, cymbidium mound was so cute!!

I am so pleased to Share Lanie and Steve's wedding with all of you!! I will never forget the day that I met Lanie! I walked into my shop and there at my consultation table sat the most adorable Filipino girl. I said hello and she said "You are doing my Wedding" And I said Um why Yes I am :)

I Loved Laney from the moment that I met her!! She laid out her plans... All of them from her Save the Date to her magazine clippings from Japanese wedding magazines. She explained Her and her Fiance worked at Home Depot and that everything was centered around GARDEN and Scotland... Steve and his family are from Scotland and Laney's Family is from Hawaii, The Philippines and Samoa. AHH and there it was my connection!! The Polynesian culture is close to my heart, I married into a large loving Samoan family so I know how wonderful and loving they can be.

Laney spent the months before her wedding making me laugh, Bringing me Starbucks, (We are both Addicted) and becoming one of my now closest friends. I can not imagine life before Laney or without her. My crew and I had the pleasure of being invited as guest's to Laney and Steve's wedding..... And well Laney as my gift said I wish you and Steve Happy Everything!! I will be showing up on your door step often!! So Steve get used to me :)

Their little family just needed to be united by marriage and Saturday was their big day. Because of the buckets and buckets of rain that came down last week I was just a bit nervous but it turned out to be Brilliant!!

I just want to say thank you again. The flowers were amazing!!! My bouquet was EXACTLY what i wanted, it was the most beautiful I had ever seen. You did an amazing job. I'm not a huge flower person, but the flowers ended up being my very favorite detail of the wedding. The were beyond beautiful! Thank you so much for everything!

AHHH A busy weekened for us.... Our 2nd team headed to beautiful La Jolla to one of it's newest and most beautiful venues.... Scripps Paine Forum opened in early 2009 and became one of San Diego's new hot venues. So Regal and Modern I just love this place!!

Our Bride and Groom Alice and Scott found us through Alice's mom, my first meeting was with her and Alice's sister. The look that they had wanted was the mason jar look.... Lots of different containers with a natural feel. We completed this look with a mix of Terracotta Gerberas, Red roses, Peach Stock with Seeded Eucalyptus and my favorite flower white hydrangea. Around the bottom we placed floating candles in small mason jars.

Well Our 1st wedding of the year was for a lovely couple that I had met at South Coast Winery. We were setting up a wedding in the pouring rain in December and this adorable couple came up and loved what we were doing... The BEAUTIFUL Bride asked me if we were available on January 9th and I said as in next month.... She giggled and said yes (Absolutely!! I said) When I finally had the chance to meet them I just fell in love with them!! I eventually found out that I was doing the wedding of Stephen Strasburg #1 draft pick of 2009 and currently one of the pitchers for the Washington Nationals... Stephen and his gracious family asked me to keep some of their pictures quiet but I am allowed to share their flowers... The best part MMMMMMM LOL :) Please enjoy these shots!!

Ok so the moment that I met Amy I Knew that I had to do her wedding, not only was she absolutely cute as a button but she also wanted her bouquet inside a shell.... Got to love that!!
So when we got down there we realized we had not properly dressed!! It was freezing cold and sooooo windy.
Let me begin with Amy, Her Bridal Bouquet and her beautiful girls....

Amy had wanted simple bouquets for the girls, yellow callas, loops of grass and tropical leaves and trimmed with a few plumeria. Too cute!!
The bridal bouquet inside of a shell consisted of hydrangea, orchids, callas, plumeria and tropical leaves.... Beautiful!!

The ceremony site looked so beautiful. Simple tropical and perfect, (loved the raining plumeria)

We love the way that this looks, it has such a tropical look and the smell of the plumeria was incredible!!

The base looked amazing... Orchids, tropical leaves, callas, hydrangea. Just beautiful

The isle decor was perfect palm frawns with simple callas placed on them, so pretty!!
Everyone looked so happy, especially Amy she finally got her man :)

The reception went perfect with the navy colors....

Laurel and Ed contacted me after meeting my wonderful partner in crime Opal from Ally's party rental and then found there photographer through me which just happens to be my favorite Shadowcatcher Imagery. So of course I did receive pictures the next day... Got to love Heather. Laurel wanted a red wedding which seems to be a common thing these days.... So we tried to put a little bit of a twist on it.

I met Celine at a wedding that I did back in May at one of my favorite weddings Mark and Michelle's. I just loved them instantly same lovable personality's and sense of humor. The original plan for there wedding is that i would set up with my husband and then go to dinner at there venue (It happens to be where we spent our first anniversary and our favorite restaurant) Unfortunately my son broke his leg so i had to stay close to home. But my trusted team took very good care of them. Here are a few shots of there beautiful day.....

We had this brilliant idea to use the cones that I have filled with there centerpieces hanging on the pews we then transferred them to the reception and put on top of there vases.... Unfortunately we were unable to get a picture of there ceremony they locked us out :(

Terrence had to have the blue light wire and rocks He love a wedding that we had done that on so we made his wish come true!!

Celine only had one bridesmaid this was her bouquet with Celine's.

She also had amazing mosaic hurricane candle holders that added so much more to my wedding decor. Splendid Sentiments did both my wedding ceremony and reception which was held at two different locations. The staff was extremely professional and knowledgeable throughout the entire process. They worked with my budget and provided more than I expected. The team of decorators and florists managed to make each location stunning and beautiful. My bouquet was stunning and is something I will treasure forever. I will always remember the beautiful floral arrangements on my wedding day.

Sandra and Suhkee contacted me a while ago, and with much laughter we designed there wedding....
All I can say is they are one of the funniest couples I have ever worked with not to mention how nice!! Sandra and Suhkee are both Chinese so they wanted to tie the color red into there wedding. Both of them wanted a beautiful ceremony and that it was. Please enjoy these beautiful shots of there wedding.

10 Pomander balls lined the isle on Shepherd hooks. The main arch had a 9 foot floral piece that was made up of solid white hydrangea and 4 shades of red roses. 6 pomander balls made of red roses and white hydrangea staggered from each side of the arch. The isle was lined with red petals and had a heavy sprinkle of red and white petals down the center.

Oh what can I say about this little ball of fire!! Jeanette has such a sweet personality and is so cute!! And Robert was seriously her absolute perfect match!! Such a gentlemen!! There wedding took place inside the Hyatt and the reception was in the private suits of the owner of the Hyatt Mr. Manchester... It was kind of cool we had to be escorted by security every time we went up... And believe me the views did not disappoint!!
So I shall start with her bridal bouquet... Just beautiful!!

Really it had so much in it that it is hard to list... She actually started to cry when I gave it to her... Thank you for that my darling that always means a lot!!

Jeanette and her father Mike not only a very handsome man but also head over heels in love with his beautiful daughter.

The ceremony site was literally inside the middle of the hotel. Our arch was a bit different but it looked great!!

So then on to the reception!! Have to love a guarded location at the top of San Diego!!

We have been very busy at the shop and we have had not enough cameras to go around..... So these are a few shots that we took at the shop before the flowers were delivered to our happy couples....
This bouquet belonged to Kelley she loved Casa Blanca Lilies, Blue hydrangea, stephanotis and a bit of greenery. It was simple and so pretty.

The girls bouquets were blue hydrangea and Ivory roses.

Karrie and Carlos had there wedding in La Jolla unfortunately I only got a picture of the Bridal bouquet and the girls....

She did the opposite thing. Girls with white flowers and Red for Karrie. She said she loved everything!!

Jennifer and Morgan WOW all I can say is what a beautiful wedding... Everything was perfect from the venue to the food to the linens to the absolutely fabulous photographer Shadowcatcher Imagery to the Gorgeous flowers.....
Jennifer and Morgan were referred to me by Heather and Skip their photographer . And I knew when I met them I had to do their wedding. Jennifer is one of the sweetest girls and Morgan is equally adorable!! The pictures that are in this blog are provided by Shadowcatchers and Sonja my personal photographer.
First her BEAUTIFUL BRIDAL BOUQUET

Her bouquet was so soft and romantic. Beautiful roses, stephanotis, calla lilies and hydrangea topped of with a bit of bling it was exactly what Jen had wanted.

I always love when Heather makes my bridal bouquets the model :)

Morgans Bout was equally as cool I loved the stark contrast!!

The ceremony site turned out so pretty!! as you can see the romantic color scheme was just perfect with the rustic atmosphere!!

These roses were in memory of there special loved ones.
Jennifer was all about the bling hence the crystals, it was quite magical you can't really tell in these picture's but it just twinkled behind them.

The reception was so beautiful!! I loved the rustic touches and the bit of flavor that Morgans mom added...

Cerina and Peter Falkner Winery October 9th 2009

Cerina and Peter's wedding was so beautiful.... We went out to Temecula's beautiful wine country to Falkner Winery. The staff there were so helpful and complimentary. Thank you Eva for all of your help. I loved the color scheme so soft and romantic soft yellow, white and baby blue. Cerina was all about the lilies and hydrangea.

The ceremony site was down on the lawn we filled the two urns and the Arch. it was so quaint and gorgeous!!

They looked so cute together. Peter is 6'5 and Cerina is 5'2 so needless to say they were adorable!!

So on to the reception. As always we put the ceremony decor to good use!! And the centerpieces were just right for the venue. The candlelight just made the room glow and the smell of Casablanca's filled the air.

The cake.... Got to love wedding cake!!

And of course we used the Arch piece at there table... Yes this is what a sweetheart table is suppose to look like!!

well what a beautiful couple!! Kimberly and Anand found me through our friends at I do weddings http://www.sdweddingplanner.com/ Melissa has been featured on the WE channel and is an amazing coordinator!! She not only handles all the days pressures but always keeps a cool head!! So a big shout out of thanks to Melissa for introducing me to Kim and Anand....
I loved being there florist!! They walked in and I knew I would have to come up with something special just for them.
They had envisioned a world traveled theme so everything was centered around the countries that they would some day travel too!!
We started the day at the beautiful U.S.D catholic church the Immaculata. Though it was simple decor it was beautiful!!

Kim and Anand looked so happy!! What a perfect couple!!

her bouquet was made up of 3 types of roses, hypericum berry, burgundy callas
and trimmed in Tiffany blue with crystals.... Kim loved it!!

The girls also were beautiful Roses and dahlias trimmed in Tiffany Gorgeous!!

After the wedding we were off to the Rancho Bernardo Inn To bring Kim and Anand's countries to life...

From the first time I met Kim I knew I would love doing her wedding. Meeting between our hectic schedules was a bit complicated but we managed to plan a beautiful wedding!!!
Kim had such a large wedding party 10 girls and matching boy's... When we went to the incredible private estate to deliver we looked like a floral train!! These are some shots that we managed to capture to the start of her day...
As we entered the room the squeals of the girls were hard to ignore. Especially Kim she absolutely loved her bouquet....

Kims bouquet had was made up of cymbidiums, callas, Tulips, hydrangea, scabiosa, monkey tail, bacara roses, gardenia leaves... It was just perfect..

The girls were all so sweet and beautiful... And there bouquets were just as beautiful!

Samantha and Kevin's Old fashion wedding at the Old Richland School house September 26th 2009

This Last weekend we had a very busy weekend with three weddings.... One at a school house, one at the Zoo, And one at a sea side cottage... But because pictures are getting harder and harder for me to attain, I can only blog the ones that I feel meet the Splendid standard :)
So on to Sam and Kevin, what an adorable couple.... Sam has that natural cover girl face. Every time she would come to my shop I was just blown away at how naturally beautiful and sweet she is inside and out.

I have to thank cupkey photography for most of these pictures... That day Sonja was the lead on the Zoo wedding although she stopped by to sneak a few shots of the isle for me. I really need to buy a new camera.
So here we go Samantha and Kevin....

My favorite Isle to date!!

Sam had wanted a fall themed wedding so hence the look. Because Fall is my most favorite time of year I thought of this beautiful and cost effective ides which was just perfect for the setting!!

A wedding for Little Mrs Amanda and Kyle.... After a full year of planning the wedding, the moment, the happieness!! September 20th 2009

Amanda.... What an absolutely beautiful girl inside and out gave me the pleasure of doing her beautiful wedding last week and it came out perfect!! I am starting with some of Emily Sandifer's beautiful pictures of Amanda and Kyle.... Just love Emily she is so incredibly talented and beautiful!!

The pro shots were taken down at La Jolla cove at one of Emily's favorite shoot locations.

The ceremony took place at La Jolla presbyterian church.

The ceremony decor was simple and elegant just what Amanda had wanted.
We snuck a few quick shots of Amanda and Kyle after the ceremony steeling a kiss.. Adorable!!

The girls also had all white bouquets.

So off to the reception we went. The hard rock made a stunning modern venue.

A simple staggered vase look was what she wanted in all white Beautiful!!

Congratulations my dear Amanda You were just stunning!! And Kyle you married one of the most beautiful girls that I have ever met inside and out.... Amanda I look forward to working with you in the future on your new wedding endeavors!!

It is with great love, respect and gratitude that I write this review:

It is impossible to think about weddings without thinking about flowers. Weddings and flowers have always been integrally connected. I have had to add a third beautiful and significant component to this partnering.......Bethany Felefitu. When I think of spectacular weddings, extraordinarily magnificent flower arrangements, creativity, brilliance, integrity, unwavering enthusiasm, generosity and an unmatched work ethic, I have to now think of Bethany.

I arranged a wedding for one of the most important and adored people in my life, my niece Kerry, who I have parented since the age of one. I hold myself to an unrelenting high standard in everything I do, so this wedding for Kerry was certainly not going to be the exception. This would be the most important event I have ever had the pleasure of organizing. I did my research rigorously, obsessively and tirelessly. I interviewed “hundreds” of florists and was met each time with disappointment. I encountered many florists with good technical skills, but a total absence of creativity. I met many creative florists, but sadly they lacked technical ability. Then there were the florists, who seemed for a moment to have it all, but sadly they lacked the required passion for their craft and most of all, they lacked that incredible wisdom and insight into the complexities of human relationships and “psychology”. They lacked an understanding of the ridiculous, intricacies of emotions that take place when a wedding is being planned. Bethany turned out to be this impossibly perfect incarnation that I was seeking. I knew I had found “the one” when on my first call to Bethany, I took on the role of despotic interrogator, ready to judge and ended my almost two hour conversation, talking to a best friend. Her beautiful, spiritual mother confirmed that this “relationship” was endorsed by a “higher authority” which in this case was definitely required, as our wedding was on an already totally overscheduled Valentine weekend. Bethany was going to have to juggle the “most important” wedding, with her busiest weekend of the year and a number of other contracted events.

It was easy to recognize immediately that Bethany is not only a gifted artist, but she has that rare ability to translate the clumsy visions and ramblings of her clients, into a perfect, poetic and lyrical floral reality. With us, she intrinsically understood her role as “therapist”, and diplomat, as she inexhaustibly mediated between an aunt with an eccentric leaning towards anything “animal print” and a bride, with a conservative, classical taste for unembellished simplicity. We laughed over champagne, stayed up late at night in her store “rehearsing” complex fabric and floral draping for our aisle and chuppah (Jewish wedding canopy) and enjoyed the “delicious terror” of anticipating how Bethany’s extravagant ideas and creations would materialize on THE DAY. Bethany had become, not just our wedding florist, but our wedding designer and planner.

The bride and the magnificence of Bethany’s visions were unveiled on the 15th February, 2009. With tears in my eyes and a smile on my face, I drank in a wonderland of “effortless” beauty that belied the extraordinary effort that Bethany and her gracious team had choreographed with an overwhelming mastery.

I just loved working with Jennifer and her mom..... What an absolutely lovely family!! Jennifer and Daniel had wanted a quaint back yard wedding and even thought it was small it was perfect for what Jen wanted!! We payed attention to every detail especially the kids!! Talk about adorable wait tell you see!!

Jen I was glad to see that your dad took off the hat we were a bit worried LOL... Thank you for sending me these pictures they turned out beautiful!!

Oh my little Kelly.... Man am I going to miss her we met her at a wedding we were delivering earlier in the year to paradise point.... She came running up and said I love the flowers do you have a card I'm getting married in September. We met with her, lover her and now its over. I hate that :(

My goodness I have gotten behind on blogging between getting the store ready for the holidays, weddings, bookings, and general life with my family, So now I find myself here blogging about Alyson's Beautiful wedding.....
Alyson was a best friend of one of my past brides Sarah and that is how I met her.... She came in and said she was getting married in Beverley Hills and inviting 400 people I gasped and said well lets go!!!
